Once an order is successfully entered by our CSR or received electronically, it is ready for our pick, pack, and ship process. Order accuracy is maintained via an automated carousel system utilizing a “Pick-to-Light” paperless functionality that directs our pickers to the exact product bin location and displays the quantity that needs to be pulled. In addition, our system is capable of tracking each order at each stage of the pick, pack, and ship process. These capabilities reduce pick errors, increase order accuracy, and improve tracking within our warehouse.
For larger shipments, Zoyto will use an automated barcode driven wire guided pallet storage environment. Narrow aisled forklift trucks are wire guided to the pre-assigned destination and the respective SKUs are pulled in a bulk fashion.
Just before the packing of the product occurs, Quality Assurance is maintained by implementing a detailed Quality Control procedure. The product is inspected in terms of its physical appearance. At times product testing and system configurations become part of the quality control procedure. The pulled items are then compared against the order slip. Each inspector who performs this task is assigned a unique ID number. This number is placed on the package for QA/QC tracking purposes.
Order fill rates are calculated and displayed in a turn time report. This report drives our turn time performance, calculating the time elapsed between the order placement and when the order was shipped.
Because of our preferred relationship with our shipping partners as well as our physical location (near several shipping distribution centers) we are able to ship all orders that are received prior to 4 p.m. CST the same day. This allows for quicker delivery turn times and helps minimize the number of order status calls that may otherwise be received. Customers are also able to access a website with their order information and view the status of their order.
